Project Span: 2005-2007
The Situation: The Oakhurst Business Association (OBA) needed a professional online presence so they could advertise their organization and get business news out to the community. They wanted their website to be easy to navigate, allow users to quickly locate neighborhood businesses, provide information about upcoming events, and allow new companies to register to become members. The OBA did not have a website, logo, or any marketing material when they first contacted WebXperts.

The Solution: WebXperts created a clean and professional look and feel for the website and company logo. The main page of the OBA’s website displays a featured business and 3 upcoming area events. A membership directory was created, as well as a “Search Member” functionality.
An administrative backend was also created, so that new businesses could be quickly added and edited. A web-based calendar was also implemented. The calendar has the ability to “push” it’s events to anyone’s MyYahoo homepage, and also to be added to another website with no knowledge of Internet programming. Administrators of the OBA may place a brief on the main page, alerting users of the new features, events, and meetings and business to the Oakhurst area.
