Bilingual Corporate Website: EllaSabe

Web Experts provided services to EllaSabe

Project Span: 1999-2000

The Situation: EllaSabe’s owner, Marisol Wesson, needed a company that would work with her in the early stages of an idea to provide a Spanish-speaking portal for professional Latino women. In order to convert these sites to multilingual audiences, EllaSabe needed content writers and translators for English, Spanish, and Portuguese, as well as skilled web designers and programmers to create the site.

Marisol wanted a company that would show the same enthusiasm for her project as her other partners, one that could see it through to realization. She insisted on a company that could work closely with her in the funding rounds of the project, help her scope out the finer details of the development, and stick with the project after it was completed and until she could hire an in-house staff to support the Spanish portal.

The Solution: In the early stages of this project, our web experts worked with EllaSabe and RedHot Law to secure a large round of initial investment capital. WebXperts designed the development requirements of the business plan and set up the project timeline.

After funding was received, the web experts worked tirelessly to create Marisol’s vision for EllaSabe.com. Functionality was critical. A backend was also needed so that Marisol and her team could manage content in easily, without knowledge of Internet programming. All of this was implemented with the completed bilingual site in under 6 months. As the project was completed, our web experts continued to work with EllaSabe offering maintenance and support. This was an early stepping-stone for the Hispanic community to the Internet.
